Allow 6 to 10 weeks from the auction purchase to the vehicle arriving at a UK port, then a further 1 to 3 weeks for customs clearance, any IVA test and DVLA registration. Cars already in our stock that have landed and been registered can be driven away much sooner.

For vehicles in our stock the advertised price includes the vehicle, shipping and insurance, UK import duty and VAT, the NOVA declaration, IVA test and preparation where required, speedometer conversion, DVLA first registration fee and number plates. Road tax for the first period is quoted separately because it depends on the vehicle.

Import duty on cars is currently 10% of the vehicle value including shipping, and VAT is charged at 20% on the total including duty. Both are paid to HMRC before the vehicle can be released from the port. We pay these on your behalf and provide the receipts.

NOVA stands for Notification of Vehicle Arrivals. Every vehicle brought into the UK must be notified to HMRC within 14 days of arrival, and the DVLA will not register a vehicle without a NOVA reference. We complete this for every car we import.
